Standard Diving Fee in the Philippines

I have a Memorandum in my Hands which regulates the Fees for diving in the Philippines. It states that the fees are regulated and each municipality has to adjust according to it.

I have a meeting with several dive-shop owners later on and will find out how far it is acknowledged especially by certain mayors in the region I am living.

coming back later

Standard Diving Fees in the Philippines

Hi Colin,

Rhoody has a list but is fairly busy at the moment. One thing we can tell you is that the list should be used since February.

One of the problems here in the Philippines is simply that there are too meny lists and papers and there is simply too much paper which works against each other...
We will keep you updated.

All the best

I hope they invent a weekly-monthly-yearly fee. Like in other regions in the world

I don't have a problem with appropriate fees. But let's not forget which country we are talking about. The money will end in some channels but only a very small part might be used for the original purpose.

I wonder how some regions keep the divinggrounds off fishermen even without high fees.

Puerto Galera is a good example for that

does that mean that there are regions with fees, where it was free diving before?

The Diving fee's and the memorandum obviously are stored like many papers in the philippines in a huge paper-box.

While the memorandum is not a perfect solution it would go in the correct direction. I guess at the moment everybody on the official side is more interested in the next years election.
