Undefeated American boxer Floyd Mayweather has just won a unanimous decision over Shane Mosley Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The win could now pave the way for a possible Pacquiao-Mayweather match within the year.

Floyd Mayweather, Jr preserved his treasured zero loss in his professional boxing career when he won over Shane Mosley Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Except in the second round when Mosley caught Maywethaer with a series of heavy punches that almost floored the undefeated American boxer, the bout was seen by boxing experts as a one-sided match in favor of Mayweather.

From the third round onwards Mayweather dominated the rest of the rounds. Two judges scored it 119-109 while the third judge scored it 118-110 all for Mayweather.

"I thought I was going to knock him out sooner or later," Mosley said. "He started being able to avoid the punches. He didn't surprise me. I just couldn't adjust and he adjusted. That's why he won the fight."

Boxing fans are still saying that it was a boring fight with no knock downs except in the second round when Mayweather's legs looked wobbly after Mosley landed a series of heavy punches.

The win by Mayweather could now pave the way for a mega fight with Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao towards the end of the year.

If Manny Pacquiao wants to fight, it's not hard to find me," Mayweather said moments after the victory. "If Manny Pacquiao takes the blood and urine test, we can satisfy all the fans."

But if not?

"We don't got no fight," Mayweather said.

The much talked about Pacquiao-Mayweather fight was originally scheduled last March 13 in Las Vegas, Nevada but the mega fight did not push through because of Mayweather's demand for Pacquiao to submit to an Olympic-style random urine and blood test to dispel rumors and allegations that the Filipino boxer was taking steroids of performance enhancing drugs(PEDs) during his last few fights.

Pacquiao refused to grant Mayweather's demand saying he had passed all tests conducted by the Navada sports regulating agency.
Pacquiao kept the March 13 date but he took on Joshua Clottey of Ghana instead of Mayweather in a fight held at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Pacquiao won the match, also via a unanimous decision.

With the win by Mayweather, the long-awaited Pacquiao-Mayweather match could happen towards the end of the year.

Meanwhile, Manny Pacquiao is busy campaigning in his province in southern Philippines for a congressional seat in the coming May 10 national elections.
