Calangaman Island

Calamangan Island is a small white-beached paradise off the southern coastline of Malapascua. The southern section offers sloping reef walls covered with soft and hard corals, hiding within are lionfish, moray eels, nudibranches and scorpion fish. The northern sites offer spectacular wall dives encrusted with gorgonian fans and giant barrel sponges. Schools of snappers, fusiliers and anthias can be seen congregating off the large drop offs. The deep walls offer every possible chance to encounter large sharks and rays.

Dolphins are often seen in the way back from Calangaman Island to your Dive Center in Malapascua.

A great two dive day trip to Calangaman Island which close to the perfect day, if your Dive Center includes a BBQ at the beach if the picture postcard desert island during your surface interval.

Small Beach

Another interesting dive sites in Malaspascua is the Small Beach. This Beach spot is normally reserved for novice divers who are still in training. The dive site starts right of the Beach reaches a maximum depth of 12 meters.

Some leading underwater photographers got interested in this dive site because of its strange under water landscape just of the shore of Malaspascua. Many sea-fans and soft beautiful corals create the environment to make perfect for sea moths, gunards, sea snakes, nudibranches and variety of other reserve marine life. Moray eels and flamboyant cuttlefish can be found here also.

Small Beach is also a great dive spot during night hours and famous for the rare and strange critters of Malapascua.

Dakit Dakit

Dakit Dakit is another one of Malapascua’s macro dive-sites. The spot is created on the surface and below by a scattering of small Islands . The dive site has a starts 3 meters below the surface with a maximum depth of .

Strong currents are prone to this dive site and created a beautiful soft coral garden. Within the dense soft corals, a variety of pipefish, flatworms, sea horses and nudibranches can be found also. Schooling baitfish and sardines can be found in the safe areas of the small Island, while the moray eels are hiding in the crevasse and overhangs.

Dakit Dakit is one of Malapascuas dive sites which is also perfect for those divers who need to refresh their diving skills site to refresh the skills and get back into the water.
