The local Market in Poplacion

You can find many small shops for all different kind of food, souvenirs and gifts, coming from local farmer and artists, who are coming to Puerto Galera daily to sell their products. Be aware that the prices for tourists are always a little bit higher than for local people.
Poblacion is very good starting point for your tour as you can see and learn a lot about the local life and different tribes like the Mangyans who come to Puerto Galera every day to sell their products like wild flowers and plants or pipes and small handicrafts.

A 5 minutes walk from the Market in Poplacion is the harbor where some Restaurants and Bars inviting you for a snack and some cold drinks.

The national sport in the Philippines is cockfighting which takes place near Puerto Galera in Tabinay and attracts many locals and brave tourists.

White beach

White beach is one of the central tourist spot a good location for those who want to enjoy swimming and relax without the rush and dirt of Sabang. You can sit down at the white sand and enjoy the 1 million Dollar view of the blue waters around Mindoro Oriental.

Talipanan Beach

Talipanan Beach has only a few cottages for rent, for those who want to stay over night. The best way to reach Talibanan Beach is a boatride from Sabang or Puerto Galera.

Tamaraw and Aninuan Falls

The Tamaraw and Aninuan Falls are very popular waterfalls in Puerto Galera. Visiting this falls is famous with tourists and locals for some BBQ and swimming. For those who love to go hiking or trekking you can hike up the creek nearby. Once the trek is finished (roughly 45 minutes), the climber is ushered into a forest filled with brilliant greens and exotic forms of vegetation it is a great adventure if alone or with a group.
